Ola Lindgren (b. 1981, Västerås) is a Swedish designer and artist based in Gothenburg. With a background and professional practice rooted in graphic design, I bring the tools and methods into my artistic practice where I am interested in working with the material and physical qualities of texts and messages. The works are often expressed in visual and spatial installations, printmaking and performance.

I have previously been active in Malmö and in Bergslagen, to later relocate to Gothenburg in 2021 where I recently graduated from the MFA program in Design at HDK-Valand – Academy of Art and Design, University of Gothenburg. In recent years, I have increasingly focused on developing my artistic practice where I work in depth to explore contemporary phenomena and critical perspectives. The work often revolves thematically around concepts such as deep time, energy, as well as current political issues and existential challenges.
